Kurt Nelson joined Harsch Investment Properties in 2015 as Vice President of Capital Markets. As a member of the Finance team, Kurt is responsible for collaborating with the regions on future acquisition activity and assisting with raising outside equity for investment with Harsch. Prior to joining Harsch, Kurt was a Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at ScanlanKemperBard Companies (SKB) where he partnered with institutional investors to acquire more than 2.5 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial properties in the Western United States.
Kurt started his career in commercial real estate at GE Capital originating and structuring debt for commercial real estate institutional and high net worth principals. He began his career in wealth management working at Fisher Investments and Bernstein Global Wealth Management. During that time, he provided investment advice to high net worth, endowment, and foundation clients totaling $1 billion in assets under management. He is a native of Southern California and received an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, and a BA from Pepperdine University, where he was captain of the men’s volleyball team.
