SAN DIEGO, September 10, 2012 – Harsch Investment Properties announces that Helm’s Brewing Company, a new locally-owned and operated microbrewery founded by four San Diego executives, will debut this fall in Cabrillo Commerce Center in Kearny Mesa (92123) after signing a lease for 3,040 square feet.
The Helm’s Brewing Company grand opening, slated for October, will follow the completion of customized tenant improvements that include a specialized chill room and a tasting/gathering room. The brewery will offer an evolving menu of locally-crafted beers made with the finest ingredients and recipes from around the world.

“This is a great example of the entrepreneurship San Diego is so well known for,” said Bill Rodewald, senior vice president and regional manager with Harsch Investment Properties. “Helm’s Brewing Company is a tremendous addition to the San Diego microbrewing market, which is recognized nationally for world-class handcrafted beer. We are very pleased that we were able to meet their unique space needs at Cabrillo Commerce Center and provide them with a central, accessible location that will support what is sure to be a large and loyal customer base.”
According to Matt Johnson, general manager of Helm’s Brewing Company, “Our concept is to be a community brewery where people can gather after work and enjoy a variety of distinguished tasting ales that have been made with highest attention to detail. Harsch worked with us closely to provide the functional improvements needed for brewing, as well as a comfortable environment that invites people to come in and relax.”
The founding partners of Helm’s Brewing Company have been co-workers and share a passion for quality craft beers. As the opening draws near, Helms will post updates on its website at
