May 16, 2014
Harsch property The Reserve won this year's Kilowatt Crackdown competition in Portland for "Most Improved Building." The annual competition is held by Building Performance Partnership, a partnership between NEEA Better Bricks, BOMA Oregon, the City of Portland, Energy Trust of Oregon, Portland Development Commission, and Clark Public Utilities. Contestants are challenged to reduce energy use with the help of an Energy Coach. At the end of the competition, all buildings that participate are evaluated by ENERGY STAR standards and those that qualify are offered free ENERGY STAR certification.
