TOMRA Sorting Solutions Opens New Facility in West Sacramento
June 30, 2014
TOMRA Sorting Solutions US Food Division celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art food sorting facility at Harsch's Riverside Commerce Center in West Sacramento on June 18th. TOMRA Sorting Food has been a leading provider of sensor-based sorting and processing systems for the fresh and processed food industries for over 30 years. The upgrade from 42,000 to 60,000 square feet of space was triggered by TOMRA's recent growth and planned expansion.

TOMRA partnered with Harsch Investment Properties and VLMK Consulting Engineers to create the build-to-suit site. The goal was to build a facility that would enable them to suggest customized solutions for each client, as well as capitalize fully on their significant investment in research and development. The site includes a trial and demonstration area, a laboratory, and modern office space with spacious breakout areas for collaboration.
