May is Volunteer Month at Harsch!
May 19, 2017

Harsch employees are going the extra mile in their communities this May, as part of our Giving Back to Our Community month. At Harsch Investment Properties, our employees strive to improve the communities where we live and work, supporting and encouraging each other as volunteers and active citizens. May gives us the opportunity to recognize and thank the Harsch volunteers who offer their time, talent, and support to causes that they care about. Their stories serve to inspire others to find ways to take action and create change.

This year, hundreds of our employees have taken part in our Giving Back to Our Community Month. From clearing debris from local hiking trails and planting vegetables at a community farms, to working with differently-abled and vulnerable populations - our Harsch volunteers are out in force, making a difference. We have so many organizations we’re supporting, we can’t wait to share them with you. Here are just a few!

Vanessa Blake volunteers as an accompanist for Oregon Adventist Men’s Chorus

Volunteering can take place in a number of ways and Vanessa Blake had a unique opportunity to support the community by accompanying the Oregon Adventists Men’s Chorus (OAMC). The OAMC presents a festival concert each year featuring both sacred and classical music. The chorus includes members from over 65 churches in Oregon and Washington with a goal of bringing worship, praise and public sharing of faith through music.

Nevada Volunteers

Harsch volunteers packed over 4,300 lbs. (430 bags) of produce at Three Square, a Feeding America affiliate, serving four counties in Southern Nevada: Clark, Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda. Three Square sources and provides wholesome food through volunteers and partners to hungry people in hundreds of neighborhood locations. Harsch volunteers packed bags for families of three local elementary schools where the majority of the students are eligible for free or reduced lunches.
